Crappies in Fla.

(1/2) > >>

gudkatch:
My parents moved to Port Charlotte a couple years ago and I'm going to be moving down in the spring of "06".  I've been on the Gulf a couple of times and also bass fished the pond behind there house and I've had a blast doing both.  What I'm really interested is finding some good crappie lakes that hold keeper size fish.  Does anyone have any ideas for me?  Thanks for any information.  Gudkatch

rendo:

any of the inland chain lakes has good size crappie. I like the harris chain of lakes by Leesburg.

gudkatch:
Thanks rendo.  Is that north of Fort Meyers? and if so any idea how far?

Never mind I MapQuested Leesburg and I'd figure its about a good 2 hours.

Lake Talquin outside of Tallahasse is a great place for Crappies (Specs).
