Took my first mate tonight. He has jigged up quite a few shorts and perch out of the boat but this is his first keeper eye jigging all by himself.

109 is back in place. Been picking up a few dandy looking perch and walleyes right before dark dragging worms in 12 fow. Saw some carp this morn doing the spawn dance. Its warming up fast.

Watched them dragging it toward the canal yesterday.Thinking it needed some sort of repair.
As far as my fishing.Fished Saturday and Yesterday.By far the best marks I saw where in front of Jewel.Early morning yesterday they were pretty stacked high in the water column.I was in 25 to 30 fow and they were between 10 to 15 feet down.Couldn’t get hem to hit.Went back later on and found only a couple small schools on the bottom.Again,couldn’t get them to hit.Friday I pulled a couple nice eyes out there and another keeper off Lewis.Again only a couple schooled up marks.Trolled both days trying to cover water.Speed from .5 to 1.0.Picked up the bigger fish trolling around 1.0

Made my first trip to Oneida since ice. I tried the south shore boat launch for the first time. Low water, but doable. Wound up only three fish under my limit, next year will be worse when they up the limit to six
Thankfully, I located a nice school of perch that saved the day. Took a bunch home with us.

it's a good foot low. The rocky point east of South shore launch is exposed and usually covered and weeds growing on it this time of year. If it doesn't go up that launch will be useless for most boats
