Only one boat at the Northville launch yesterday morning and they were gone by 10am. 34* and quite breezy. They did push the dock in Friday PM. Lake us still down about 4 feet from normal for this time of year. Water temp is pushing 50*. I never saw a walleye up in the creeks this spring, but the water was low most of the time. My boat still sets in the garage but it may come out very soon....h2l

First trip of the season, or should I say, boat ride. 5 hours and not a nibble. Fished 7' down to 30 fow. Marked just one fish, on the bottom. Water temp low 60's out on the lake. Came in about 1pm and took the wife for a boat ride along with Scout....h2l

My sons fished the point at the campground this weekend and caught 5 or 6 nice smallies and lost a bunch more.

Fished yesterday no walleyes, but did get one large perch. Got to try the new terrova trolling motor, I think it will be a game changer once I'm used to it. Love the spot lock and auto pilot.

So far a tough early season. There are some nice perch in this lake, when you find them. The spot lock has to be a great tool. Would really be nice on a school of walleyes when you find one. Good Luck...h2l

Spot lock is great, as long as the water is somewhat calm.... it does keep you in the same general area.   I use it mostly when I am trolling around edge and when you get a fish on, I hit the spot lock real quick to land the fish and then keep on moving.

2 weekends ago we opened our camp on Saturday. Put fishing boat and all in water and headed out. Came back in 45 minutes later. Waves were too much for me. Wife and I went out next day Sunday am. Boated 16.5" walleye, 14.5" smallmouth, released bass. Wife caught 5" rock bass. Later I went to the creek to check out a possible fishing hole. 12" colorful rainbow. Both fish were delicious. Next weekend back at it. Water is at a great level for me right now but not in 2 months...........

Kim, good to see that you are back on the lake and that you and the wife got some fish. I heard of a few others getting some walleyes this past weekend.  Warmer water temps might be helping. Right now it looks like Friday for me, will give a report in the PM so you can plan your weekend....h2l
