Title: Absolute Madness!!

Hit the Q for a few hours this morning with the wife and kids. They have seen the pics from the last few trips and the kids wanted to try it out.

The fish were hitting right out of the gate. On the very first drop of the day, as I was getting ready to tech the kids the technique, a laker ripped up and smashed the jig while it was still dropping and about 20ft from bottom.I handed the rod to my son and he went to work. As he was reeling I was explaining that if the fish pops off to keep reeling, many times there are others following or they will come back. A second later the rod pops up, fish is off, before i can tell him to keep reeling i look down and see him doing just as I just told him, moments later, another fish on!! He reeled it in and i showed my daughter how to net it. After that they were hooked! We only needed one rod as the action was hot enough to keep them busy. One would net while the other fished, then switch off when a fish was caught. Dad was on unhook duty and mom took pics. Was a great trip with about a dozen or so fish caught.

its a madhouse. you found em biting. hey was that you on the nh warden show getting checked fishing out of a kayak at ice out time on newfound

No I sir. Haven't been in a yak much since I got the boat.
