You can also tell it’s a tiger by the way some of the spots actually merge into stripes.

I was told dots = brook trout and slashes or stripes = tiger trout.

The biggest reason I am saying tiger is because this body of water was stocked with tigers about a week before i caught it. Also, i cannot find any history of brook trout being stocked there.

I hatch and raise tiger trout. I think I know what they look like. That is definitely a tiger trout.

The thing is some are closer to being brook trout than others which may throw some off. When you do a cross between two species you don't get 50/50. It varies.

This got interesting today lol. At least it’s not like the LL salmon or brown trout arguments that happen on the ice shanty in my state.
