I was told dots = brook trout and slashes or stripes = tiger trout. The biggest reason I am saying tiger is because this body of water was stocked with tigers about a week before i caught it. Also, i cannot find any history of brook trout being stocked there.
All brook trout look like tigers, when they are upside down....h2l
Maybe it's a sunfish that "identifies as" a tiger trout.
