A few months ago, a new pastor was assigned to my church, and offered to introduce him to one of the local trout streams.
Today, his schedule finally permitted him to take me up on my offer, so we fished the South Hoosic - - from Cheshire Harbor to ALADCO - - between 10 AM and 1 PM.
It was a beautiful day. The weather was partly sunny, with temps around 60 degrees.
The foliage was just starting to turn and the stream levels were ideal.
I was nervous that we might get skunked, because the fishing hereabouts has slowly deteriorated during the course of our recent drought, but in the end, we did pretty well.
My pastor caught three good-sized (about 14") rainbows, while I landed two smaller ones, and we each lost one or two others.
