Meanwhile....back in the kitchen....
Brachiole!
All rolled up and ready to go. I used shaved ribeye, bread crumbs, Italian cheese mix, hard boiled egg, prosciutto, and spinach for the filling.

Browned on medium heat in the Dutch oven

Deglazed with red wine

Simmered in our home made marinara and served on Farfalle.

A relatively simple recipe with Very delicious results. Not super rich either.

Donna's mon made them out of ground pork and made them like flattened meatballs.
Like little flying saucers.
Delicious.

Since this is a fishing forum...  Fresh perch, kraft mac n cheese my guilty pleasure, broccoli and sugar snap peas. I tried a new breading and man it was just perfect. Shotgun Red's. Just the right blend of seasonings and texture.

Inpm very jealous. Haven't seen any fresh perch since last spring.

Had some left over beef stew in the freezer. Making some drop biscuits. It'll do for an easy meal.

Question: has anyone used pork loin end roast for anything other than pulled pork? Wondering if I can just throw it in the slow cooker with onions, potatoes and carrots like I would any other roast.

Sorry for the silly question, just need to use it up and I know nothing about this cut of pork.

Thanks!

I do this all the time.
Of course it doesn't get a crust as you would get in an oven but it cooks fine.
Donna's favorite is when I put one in there with sauerkraut over it and a few pierogis on top of the kraut.
The juice from the kraut marinates the pork and steams the pierogi.

Have fun and enjoy.

Thanks Mac. Unfortunately no one else in the family would eat the kraut. Or the juices for that matter.

But I like the idea of flavored juice in lieu of water. May get some apple cider and throw in some apples as well to mix it up.

What does nearly everyone eat with pork chops? Apple sauce....
