Landlocked Atlantic Salmon.

They can be fun and easy trolling hardware or flies in the spring. They can also be targeted if they chase bait into small rivers. I've seen spring salmon jumping out of the water chasing bait both on lakes and rivers.

In the fall when they enter the rivers to spawn from September to November, but can holdover into January. They become more of a challenge then, but will surprise you taking either a tiny wet fly or a large classic streamer.

Strong fighters that like to jump.

Catfish, cuz I'm lazy. Just wait for bite.  Of course a slip bobber set up is also great.
Slip bobber fishing and ice lounger.

Pogies fishing ! Live line pogies is as good as it get. 2-3 lbs baits says it all. Casting into blitzes for nonstop fun. Snag and drop is by far my favorite.
Some how I've been bit by fly rod bug and am switching over slowly.

Locally a screaming salmon out on Ontario. But a Mahi Mahi or 70# Yellowfin north shore Oahu are best.
Fishy, Fishy in the lake, please come here and take my bait. I troll and jig you take my hook, and then I take you home to cook.

Depends on the season usually it's always trout during the fall and winter. Crappies in the spring then salmon on the lake when I can get out. But this was my first year ice fishing more by myself and learning the ice and findind some spots. I got hooked chasing walleye through the ice. So winter trout fishing might be on hold next year.

Largemouth, but if smallmouth are biting, them too. On the Ish Phat Frog is the best. Heavy braid, mats, but honestly, I'll catch a bass on any technique.
