Yup. Cost him a grand for the trip and only cost her the price of one shell... ;D

Yikes Dom! That girl shot a monster.
Those Illinois deer sure have a long face.

Well my brother has had this buck on camera for two years..All at night.  He never saw it hunting.

Some kid shot it on the property across the street from his house yesterday.

Congrats to the young hunter. We had a similar thing happen to our gang 4 years ago. We had a 170"+ 10 point on our land. Three of us had close encounters during bow season, but not close enough. OK, we figured someone would get him gun season. Yep! He crossed the river looking for love and got shot near 5 miles away. Tough break, but more are growing every day.

I just want to say I think it's all his(my brothers) falt and a couple other of his neighbors for posting on social media websites.
The kid isn't even from around his area.
Knocked on an elderly woman's door and got permission.

Man that approach never works for me. I’ve knocked on more doors than I can count.

And you are probably right, no need to advertise a monster running around

Couldn't agree more - social media is awful now.  Same thing applies with fishing - in particular ice fishing on small lakes.  Someone does well and tells the world, then is surprised when there are 10 times more people fishing there the next day and the place is fished out.  Loose lips not only sink ships, they ruin hunting and fishing spots.

, agreed , lots of lurkers looking for a trophy or a hot bite, I watched Canadarago lake get hammered after the word got out , went from maybe 30 guys on a weekend up to 200 , killed it
