Water temps out your way?
« on: Mar 24, 2021, 07:40 PM »
I can't get out on the public lakes yet as I have taxidermy work to still get caught up on, but my ponds are all 55 F. today March 24th.

How about where you're at?

Haven't been out yet, but ice is just coming off and with the cooler weather this week, I'd guess around 40.

40-high 50 surface temps depending on where I am fishing.  Patiently waiting for stratification to occur so I can pick on grouped up lakers.

58 degrees at Kettle Pond in Vermont. The same in Lewis Creek in Ferrisburg. Many of the Vermont streams I've dropped fish in this week have been low to mid 50's.

Perfect temp to make salmonids hungry!

Last Saturday on Sunapee I found 52F surface temps. Couldn't get anything to strike until I started trolling at 30 feet on the downrigger, then ended up with this little mudpuppy. About 19".

water temps around here are getting to be 60 on the big lakes with some mid 60's in places, snow on the mountain with ice on the lakes up there but won't last much longer.
