ahh yes, I guess we do get a little harsher temps up north here. Ive done some winter open water fishing this year too. Pulled out the icefishing rods and dropped down off the side of the boat, and ended up with this....

real nice looking perch. some more info would be if you could. where about on the lake you might be fishing. where are the open ramps to launch at.  any info would be great.  anybody know if rhe launch at that smith campground is open.    thanks

Call Seneca Marine and ask would be the easiest thing.  They're right there in Watkins.
