trico mayfly larva

Whats a good imitation for the larva of the trico? many times I am baffled by why the trout are sipping but I see no spent tricos nor decending tricos from the air.

I sometimes fool around with tiny CDC emerger patterns. I would think something in a 20 >24 with a biot body and small dubbed head or cdc loop wing would get their attention. Pretty small stuff for my old eyes :-\

We should get together sometime. I'll trade you a bass stream trip for a trout trip.  I could even get you into a carp or 2  :w00t:

If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.
