Huge school of perch fry. Never seen anything like that Kc. Hope they're not stranded.

They are at a small lake where I have my camp. The other side of the road has many more but the pic didn't come out as well. No they are not stranded, but have been there for over a week.

They're hiding from the predators, especially the guy watching them with the fly rod in hand!

Ok...i couldn't expand the pic but after downloading i could expand and wow...never saw that many perch fry. Saw similar with bulhead fry tho.

I saw something similar about 5 years ago in a small creek just upstream from Lake Erie near Dunkirk, NY. I was working out in that area in mid-spring and we would hit the creeks after work every day for steelies and rainbows. Not sure what type of fry they were but there must have been millions of them in one small area of the creek. The water was black and boiling for days in that area. Very cool to see
