Went out to feed the trout, perch, and bluegill this evening and froze my *** off. 40's with strong wind. But... supposed to be in the 70's by Monday and Tuesday but only for a couple of days. Didn't check the water temp.

Chili? That's a long way from here!
.
Water temp up to 57 today. Supposed to be in the low to upper 70's with wind the next few days. Should bring up water temps.

Checked two spots yesterday. Up in the river 41 and at the boat launch it was 43. I am sure it is warmer out in the lake. There is still some ice along the river banks from the ice jam back in Feb, but that should be gone in the next day or so....h2l

My pond with the trout in it got up to 63 F. on the surface with air temps in the 80's. When it gets into the upper 60's with a significant warm up on the way it will be time to seine, sort, and move about 100 male brooks and 30 each brown and tiger trout to the pond that is fed by a well during the summer. I'm hoping I can keep them in the original pond until the end of May and it may be possible this year. Warm tomorrow but back down into the 60's the rest of the week. And lows in the 40's and 50's should keep temps down. If I can get 1.5 more inches on the ones that won't be moved to the trout pond I can sell them for a price. (At least 16 inches.)
