Here's a few smallies from the past several weeks around the Buffalo harbor. Can't seem to break the 19" barrier, but I know they are there. Let's see yours!

I got some last week, most averaging 19" and 4-5lbs. Only a couple that were over 20" and 5lbs+. Crank baits were the way to go for me

I've got the cheapest yak money can buy. Bali 10 ss sundolphin. It gets me in the water and that's all I need it for. I want to upgrade soon but I can't decide if I want a ultralight yak for hiking into remote lakes with or a stable fishing yak with a pedal drive/electric motor. What kind of kayak do you have?

Spud - I have a Old Town Predator MX which is a 12'er. It's very stable and has been excellent in the larger bodies of water, haven't dumped it yet. The downside is it weighs 90 lbs. and is not the easiest to move around. It was the first fishing kayak that I bought and have been happy with it over the past four seasons. The seat is super comfortable and I have no issues being out all day. If I were to go back in time I may have went for the Old Town Predator XL 13'er, which has an option to add a Minn Kota electric motor council.

Just cruisin around getting set up for evening eyes.. was a beautiful night to be out and got finished up a lil early for the day so we headed out with a couple hours of light. R.I.P to our fellow fishermen this week and last. Let's be smart out there, we all know Erie is no lake to mess around with..

Very sad hearing about the two deaths already this year, safety first guys (and gals). I was out early sunday morning and was wondering why the coast guard chopper buzzed overhead a couple dozen times. I was unaware of the incident until I read the post above. It really hits home when things like this happen.......For all fellow kayak fishermen hitting the big water; may I suggest always wearing your life jacket, investing in a good dry suite and also carrying a hand held marine radio (tuned into channel 16). Be safe and tight lines!

Some nice smallies!
Anyone jigging?
Love catching them on the jig. Harder to cover ground, but like the hook-ups.
Yeah the investigation has been quite hush-hush. Something is tragic and rotten in Denmark!
LPD driving the boat!
