thing with a spinning reel is you don't get a true extended unrestricted natural drift,you can do it with a centerpin or a level wind another thing is alot less line twist ......i'm far from a pro with it .....and i will take the fly rod over the pin in most cases .... but i had fun with it ....
I disagree TrapI leave the bail open and my left hand on the handle to turn and close it for hooksets. Works fine.
