12 pounds of shrooms I picked

Hen of the woods I gathered today off two different spots. Nice and fresh no bugs. I had a feeling this rain we had would set them off and It did.
Some great eats!!

I think you were pretty lucky last year. I only harvested 2 Hens all season and as far as I know from others, it was an awful year for them. On the other side, I did VERY well with everything else.

I'm just a chicken I don't wanna die eating wild mushrooms. But I think about goin all the time

Its definitely wise to keep away if you don't know which ones are edible. However, mushroom hunting and mushroom eating are two different things. I enjoy both. I was introduced to about 5 edible species by my parents which they used to pick in their country. Now, I am up to 30 edible species and I think that's just about all of them that grow here in New England.
