weather kinda stunk in the far north this weekend we lost at least a whole day of fishing due to wind and heavy rain. still managed 21 lakers in 3.5 hours in 100-105 over 115-125 feet of water before getting blown off the lake on saturday. woke up sunday to really nasty looking skies and  stiff wind at 6 30 am. changed venues fished for browns and brookies we landed 45 in about 9 hours we fished on sunday. woke to a steady rain which set in pretty good on monday so we headed for home

Nice fish! Congrats. Everything is huge up there, fish and deer. I would love to venture up there and Alaska before I die.

Just what I was thinking.

The fish from your area have to be the most colorful of any posted on this site. And always a consistant size - Large!  :clapping:

Definitely some caroteen pigment from crustaceans. Maybe even freshwater shrimp up there?
