quick update.
The water started coming up and out of the bucket overnight.
I have too much in the bucket.
After work tonight I will split it back up into 2 buckets.

Started out with a pretty frosty boat this morning. I forgot to throw the cover over it.

Ended up with 40 perch in just a couple hours.

I'm happy ;D

If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

That's a nice day on the water and some nice fillets to go with your vegetables.  Just finished picking all the Brussel sprouts the other day so 2016 is in the books. Garden needs some work next spring to get it looking like yours and the rest of the gangs. Good thread and posts  this year, I got some good ideas from everyone.

Heck, I got paid to fish today :rotflol:

It was a very nice fall day on the water for sure. I started worrying about getting sunburned......in November.

Good eats for sure Bart. I'm probably going out again tomorrow since it looks to be a carbon copy of today. Might just chase some of those gills on Honeoye.

Well I'm bummed, went to waste management first thing this morning  for a truck load of compost and they stopped loading it November first... :P
I was hoping to raise a few more beds this weekend..

On a happier note....I pickled up a jar of perch this morning.

It's getting happy in the fridge. In a week or so....if I can wait.....it'll be darned tasty. Save your extra brine and make another batch in a couple weeks. The brine keeps for months in the fridge. The fish should be consumed in 4-6 weeks.....like it takes that long.

It's why I fish DD ;D

Cant wait to give it a whirl, and if I'm fortunate enough to get another deer I'm gonna try pickling the heart.

Ive pickled heart using cold process. Cook it thoroughly first then jar it up with onions and a good vinegar brine mixture. Forget about it being in the back of the fridge for a week and enjoy.

Good stuff!

It's taken me all day to upload, downsize, and get this posted, but Breakfast anybody?

Bacon, onions, mozzarella, parmesan, fresh spinach, basil,  and eggs, cherry toms, and feta.   ;D
One more with the one we're after and we'll have two.

Or how about dinner?

Duck a l'orange over apple stuffing with roasted sweet potatoes and fresh picked brussel sprouts.
Life is good today!  Credits to my bride.   ;D ;D

OH MY! What an awesome looking dish. Looks like some mushrooms in there too. Is that topped on a pizza dough ? The duck looks yummy too.
