2 bass (Brown trout added 8-20-08 )

 This is going to be a good summer on the water .  My son has been asking to go fishing more often this year . He is really getting into it . I had to go get him a new tackle box this year , Because everytime he goes to a store he comes back with more lures . I'm looking forward to spending time on the water with him this summer .  Here are a couple of the fish . He likes the bass .

and this was from tonight . It was a great fight with a few good jumps .

 Well the bass are getting a little beat up around the lips , So I decided to give them a break today .  I got out alone and did some brown hunting .   It took a bit of looking around ,
But I did find them just before the rain started .   I only boated one and I lost one at the net . Here is a pic of the little one I got in the boat .  Sorry for the poor pic I was alone and rushed it a little for a quick release .  The one I lost at the boat was and inch or two bigger .

I want to get a ruler just like it.

Nice fish. 
I caught a bass out there yesterday that had 'hook lips'.  Wonder how many times it's been caught?
The browns I catch don't get any chances......they go in the oven with a bit of lemon juice and black pepper.

Gotta get a few more trout lures......I lost three nice ones while finding the bottom on Panther Pond a week or so ago.  Sigh, gotta go to Cabelas again!   Woo hoo!!

hi   looks like he is wright in to bass  if you like i have a bunch of  rubber worms and some old  bass lures  he can have if he wants them  their are justing  sitting here  collecting  dust  pm me and let me know

That's great GB, hooked on fishing not on drugs,nintendo,playstation,x-box's etc. Keep him interested and the future looks bright.
