Fastribs,
Lance caught Ivan Basso(who is in 2nd place)and passed him on the time trial. They start 2 minutes apart and lance was able to beat him by 2' 23" today. Now he has a little more breathing room with 3'48" on Basso.

Lance is just unstoppable. I love how he stole the stage from Kloden. Too bad Landis couldn't have attacked earlier and gotten the stage win.

Well, Lance starts his bid for 7 in a row today. Let's all hope everything goes smooth and he can bring it home. Good Luck Lance and the Discovery Team.  And good luck Scott, on matching half the miles ridden in le' tour. Today's 1st step for you - a 5.9 mile time trial. Try to beat 20 mph avg.

Looks like Lance has his plan in action putting 1-2 mins on his main rivals already. Passing Jan in the prolouge TT pretty much says it all! 4 americans in the top 6 is awsome to. I cranked out a 20.9mph average speed for my 6.5 mile time trial, first time I have ever gone into the 20's! Almost half a Lance...lol  ::)

Way to go, Scott. That's a great average speed. I think after tomorrow's team time trial, we'll see lance in his familiar yellow jersey once again. It's also good to see how well the american riders are doing with 6 in the top 15. David Zabriskie seems to be loosening up a little in front of the camera. lol. Hopefully we'll see some more positive results from american riders after lance's reign is over.

I don't know where you got your information from, but I have never heard that from him. I've heard that from Johnny Depp, though.
