Good fishing Pounder, and nice recovery on the skull hook...great that the pup gets to enjoy too. Plus a good swim afterwards is always welcome. Our pooch likes fishing year round.

Nice job Pounder.

I made walleye wings this weekend. There is more meat there than there is in the cheeks. I won't be wasting that meat any more.

I started saving them my self , Bruce how did you prepare them ?

I just breaded them and fried them with everything else.

I have always thought about saving up a bunch of cheeks and making something similar to linguini with clam sauce.

Linguini with cheeks and wings?

I can't believe you guys who catch 100's of walleyes every year don't save and bag the cheeks...   :o
Bruce there's an old guy that lives down the hill use to save them for me (because I'm a bad walleye fisherman) and that's exactly how I prepared them.   In pasta.... ;D. He can't fish anymore but I bring him some perch..
Wish perch had big cheeks... ;) I can catch some of those accuously....   8)
