Got home last evening after 12 hour drive from Lake Fontana, NC. Beautiful spot, beautiful lake, fantastic accomodations, great to see nephews, ate and drank like kings, one very long drive pulling boat for 2 1/2 days of fishing. And fishing . And fishing!!! 4 guys caught 2 smallies, one largemouth, 2 wipers, 2 trout out of stream racing past cabin about 60 feet away and one 10 lb carp that I snagged on a crank bait.
That was my fourth trip in 4 years and I'm done.
Next year we are heading to the UP at Crystal Falls, MI. Nephews will fly into Greenbay, rent a car, drive 100 miles. rent a boat. Stepson and I will trailer my boat up. I think we'll catch fish there!
All in all still had a good time.
