Spotted Bass Help

My son is fishing in Oklahoma. In PA we fish for largemouth and smallmouth bass. The water temp at the lake is cold and they had a shad kill. The lg and sm mouths are not biting. Any suggestions for catching spotted bass are greatly appreciated.

Thanks, he found some active fish where a river was entering the lake. The water was warmer and the largemouth were all waiting on a point for bait.
