I run 10# some guys will run 12#for main line. I carry 10#,8#,6# and 4# fluoro for leader but almost always run 8# fall and spring and 6# over the winter.

I have 20lb braid for backing and 8lb orange mono for main line. Orange makes things alot easier to see. Like esox v I also carry a couple small spools of different weight flouro.

Why use braid for backing? Just asking, must have to put alot on there to fill the spool.

Well, I like to Run 10lb Suffix for main line and then 10lb fluoro for shot line and leader unit Dec then I drop just my leader down to 6lb for the colder months then back to 10lb for the spring drop backs.

I might try the green big game this year for my main line.
