My hunting partner for the past 12 years. I had to retire her from waterfowl but she still goes hard in the field. Points, flushes, and retrieves. I got very lucky with her.

This is Leo. A neighbor's dog at camp. He loves golf carts no matter who owns it.
Pup Rex jumped up into my cart. Leo wasn't having any of that. He jumped onto the seat and kept pushing the pup against the seat back un till he jumped down. Golf carts are HIS!

My two (Ben and Jerry) I got from an organization that rescues dogs from a high kill shelter, are still doing great after getting them as puppies about 3 years ago. They've got it made with a doggy door and a pea graveled lined kennel if they have the urge to relieve themselves. Otherwise they are inside or barking at deer and rabbits off the deck. I also walk them around the property once a day.

With the stress of taking care of elderly parents they are a welcome relief.

Some happy campers here! Buddy fishing John hooked me up with two boxes of fresh beef bones ..Cut them up on band saw for pups and got two big pots of bones making broth to cook there brown rice in that they eat with there meat for there meals! Awesome

My little buddy isn't doing so well.
She hasn't eaten in 3 days.
She has the runs and is throwing up bile.
We took her to the vet a few hours ago.
Macy was left there to get fluids thru an IV.
They are also going to draw blood and run some tests.
We go get her about 6:30 tonight and then we monitor her overnight and see how she responds to things and return for them to check her tomorrow morning.

She will be 14 in May.

My dog, Edge, with 1st and 3rd place ribbons earned in Derby stakes of retriever field trials back in June.
She and I went on to win the National Championship in Missouri in October! What a year!

This is Leo. He owns our neighbors at camp. He loved golf carts and had to sit in every one that stopped at his site. There could be 6 carts there for a gathering and he would sit in every one of them to check them out. Sadly we were notified he passed on yesterday. Going to miss taking him for his ride when I visit.

Always hard to lose a friend, human, feline, canine.......... any friend.
So sorry to hear about Leo.


FYI - Macy is all better.
We really thought she wouldn't make it.
We don't know what it was.
And my sister brought her little dog over while Macy was still sick and now her dog has the same thing.

So happy to hear Macy recovered  :thumbup_smilie: :clapping:  I was wondering but figured you would update us when the time was right for you. Sorry to hear your sister's pup is now sick, sending prayers for a speedy recovery.  Some friends had just gotten a new lab puppy after losing their 13 yo lab and he was hit with the same type of sickness on New Years day, no answers on what caused it other than some type of virus. Luckily he also survived and is growing like a weed !!!

I was over there this morning helping my BIL with some ceiling lights in the kitchen.
Morgan, their dog, is doing better it appears.
Maybe one more day and she will be over things completely.
We still don't know exactly what it was that caused them to get so sick.
Morgan never got as sick as Macy, but maybe because they started treating Morgan sooner than we did Macy.
Vet says she doesn't know what it was exactly.
Glad it's over.
We really thought Macy wasn't going to make it.

My boy Blue crossed the Rainbow Bridge just  before Thanksgiving. He put up a long brave battle with Lyme disease
We have wonderful memories that will last forever.

We recently adopted a Lab mix rescue.  We are not sure what the mix is and we are waiting on a doggy dna report. We are guessing that she might be part Tree Climber Coonhound but the dna will answer ghat question.
Her name is Daisy Mae.

Thanks for all the kindness.

Took Ms Daisy Mae to the vet for a couple of shots. She got a bunch of hugs from the staff.
She certainly is a wonderful member of our family.

Driving people around yesterday stopped at a Amish market in whitesville yesterday and made 3 little friends...sat on porch petting them for an hour while people shopped ...nice little guys

My pack waiting for dinner...they have great internal clocks ...let me know when it's 7 am ( breakfast) 5 pm (dinner) and 8 pm( ice cream time) every night they jump up when they here final jeopardy music !

My Dachshund and kitty are the same way. 5AM breakfast and 4PM for dinner.
