buying a new tip-up with line and not checking to see if it is wound up wright and going fihsing and comming back to check you bait and having the trap spooled

along those lines....having a trap spooled backwards so the fish cant take line at all and nearly kicks you in the face at the end of the day when you go to pull the lines in... happened to me at first ice this year with a small pike in shallow water, scared the bejesus outta me.

Fishing with a buddy in his seadoo boat, he punches the throttle and my $80 sunglasses gracefully go soaring into the water, Same day he punches it tackle bag at fornt of boat, next about 2 gallons of water in my bag , Casting a catfish 3way rig a little too far and into the reed with about a 20 minute rety time and many missed fish as TH brags with his sucess.
A bad day of fishing is still better than a good days work!!!
