They stock Onandaga ?   I'm confused.  Isn't that a catch and release only water ?  I thought that was like certain areas on the Hudson where you could fish but no keeping.
   Maybe I'm wrong?

Thanks it’s been a great companion over the years , I bought it roughly 35-37 years ago off trapps buddy at midway bait in Fulton , the original strap crapped out, that 1 I bought of a lady near Lowville ny , she made it for me  , the creel has an 18” basket ,

I remember growing up in Mass when there was a trout season. That first morning of trout season everybody and his brother was out trout fishing a local small lake. So many boats you could almost walk across them. Then after about week I had that little lake almost all to myself. Mass no longer has a season on the ponds anymore as far as I know.

That opening morning was exciting. The night before was just like anticipating Christmas morning opening presents! One year I was in charge of getting the tackle ready and decided putting heavier lines on the spinning reels would be better (I was about 11 years old). We had problems with 20 lb. test on the light spinning reels!  :rotflol:
