I'm no mechanical engineer but why would the tilt work with the engine running?
That would result in running the motor out of the water. Not good.


I believe he meant the hydraulic pump motor was running.
Not the outboard motor.

Correct. Motor operates Trim, two small rams, at it's highest point, large center ram takes oner (tilt) to highest point. There be the problem. After more discussion with mechanic friend, said seal kit would run around $600 if can find one. Suggests just run as is, block up motor for travel since can't raise high enough for motor toter.
Motor runs great so will probably do that.
