has anyone caught any fish using the gulp minnows or leeches been thinking about getting some and trying them for some eyes
-
Caught quite a few eyes on both at Glendo. The gulp minnows may be the ticket up in the shallow trees this summer ;)
-
That is all we use. 3 or 4 inchers. with a leech or a small chunk of nightcrawler
-
All fish have come from Gulp minnows, worms and leaches from the past 3 years.
These two came from the gulp crawlers.

Over 8 pds, and the other one was a little over 6 pds.
Both were released after pics. My boy caught the big one and it was a bit of a struggle to release that one,
But after some convincing he let her swim.

Had good luck with Minnows at Hawk Springs couple years ago. Before they drained a lot of it. Hasn't been the same since. Caught Crappie and even some cats on them too. Haven't had any luck with the leeches,...yet.

I've had some success with the minnows. Still get at least 2 to 1 on live bait tho. That said, I hav'nt fished with gulp that hard.
-
luv the gulp minnows catch fish everywhere i go on them. sometimes tip it with live bait, if they rob me of that you still have the gulp on.. i've caught fish from shore casting just the gulp minnow and poppin it in pretty fast, last year when water was high, in the tree's

So the gulps are more durable but the real deal is more productive?

Glup works great

I talked about the Gulp baits on another thread but I have been sold on them for a number of years. Caught my largest bass on the 2.5 shad minnow. The only problem with Gulp minnows is that the smaller fish love them and steal the bait. Crappie and Bluegill kill those gulp minnows. I even had a carp inhale one.
