My beautiful Bride’s bouquet for the day.

Cosmos, Balloon flowers, asiatic lilies and  a volunteer sunflower from our bird feeder.

She loves our flowers and I love her! Her smile is precious to me.

I was gifted 2 large garlic bulbs for seed.
Still  haven’t pulled the rest of mine . Going to give them a little longer. Leaves are not turning brown yet..

Seriously old after this week. I’m on the couch with a cocktail watching Rawhide.

Keep those good seeds Dom. Plant them and keep culling. Just like bass fishing……only better. It’s garlic!

Made 4 loaves of zucchini bread today for gifts and 2 more with yellow for me. put a bunch of shredded in the freezer for this winter. It goes great with fried gill fillets. Shelled a gallon of peas to blanch and freeze. Beans tomorrow then on to some pickles. I'm looking at my potatoes and I think I'll dig some soon. Beets are great. Some of the nicest I have ever grown. Will also blanch and freeze them. Parsley just didn't come along. Don't know why but I'll miss it.

Day off today. Been working 6 day weeks for  while now. Really busy at the course.

Did a bunch of gardening this morning. Turned 2 beds and worked in composted leaves from last fall. Planted 4 varieties of beans, some carrots ( never had any luck with carrots) a couple Brussels sprouts, a couple more zucchini, some spinach and snow peas. It’s  early for spinach but I figure to take harvest as soon as I can.

Waiting for September to plant radishes and more spinach.

Butternut squash doing great

Put up 8 quarts string beans, 3 pints beets, and have 14 pints of different kinds of pickles. About ready to spray zucs with round up, lol.
To make small fortune in business, start with a large one.
