Great fish & pics, Jake & filet.

Well. Today I grabbed the big net, got my Dad up at 04:00 and headed back to Lake Ontario for some more salmon action. Needless to say, SKUNKED!

Got a rock bass and a smallie in the boat and lost 2 salmon shortly after hooking them. One in a tree on the bottom and one from his jumping. Oh well. That's why that call it beginner's luck. It doesn't last too long. I may go up one more time and forget the net just to see if that gives me the hot hand again.

Yep... we mustered up a few anyways :whistling: We managed to land 13 eyes with 2 that were over 21" we sent those back of course.
Last nights haul for Filet&release and I  ;D

Here is a 21" that Filet tossed back. I caught a nice toad that was around 21" but booted him off my hook at shore so the guys wading wouldn't see i was catching fish behind them  :w00t: ;D

Wow! Great looking fish, guys. Nicely done.

If you saw my vehicle, it was parked in the driveway. I still haven't even unhooked the boat from the trip to the big lake yesterday morning. Gotta love lazy vacation days.

I did go down to the shore a few times but it was pretty dead last night. Saw one nice one and got him to smack it but that was it.

And I do plan at least one more salmon trip. I've got to get Mom hooked into one of those beasts. She'll get a real kick out of it.
