Easier than 10.5822 ounces. All of the good European chefs present their recipes in metric form. I can adapt.

If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

Made egg rolls today. Shared some with my neighbor for "happy hour".

Some with shrimp and osme with pork...both with cabbage and Chinese vegetables. Made noodles too.

Froze a bag for instant dinner night.

They were fun to make and delicious.
I'm headed on a mission today to hit a couple of Asian markets in Henrietta. Still on the hunt for a small carbon steel wok. Everything I've seen has been non-stick coated. That's not going to last. May end up buying it online but I hate the hassle of returning stuff if I decide I don't like it. I'd rather be able to look it over first.

Took your advice and bought the same brand only in steel. Bigger that I had wanted but that's ok.

Gave it e serious seasoning on my propane burner....in the garage. A really smoky business. Came out nice. Did an egg test and could almost flip it. Didn't really stick though. Time to put it to use.

Also picked up a Lodge enameled Dutch oven.

Made a wonderful beef stew as a break in. Can't say enough good about this cookware. I'll probably be leaving it to someone in my will.

Scored a bamboo steamer at Goodwill yesterday or $4.

Tested it out on some steamed dumplings for an afternoon snack.

Works perfectly. So simple.

Made it to a couple Asian markets this morning. Picked up some cooking wine, fish sauce, wonton and dumpling wrappers and a nice bamboo wok stirrer. Can't believe how inexpensive things were. One store had tons of fresh everything from pork to seafood. There was even a take out kitchen. I'll be going back there.

Great trade right there. My home grown potatoes are almost gone. I have one bag of small ones left for the next stew.
