Main Branch of the Hoosic and Southview Pond
« on: Jul 21, 2019, 02:23 PM »
My younger son and I went fishing in North Adams for a couple hours this afternoon,

It was sunny and hot (90 degrees), but fortunately not as humid as yesterday, and there was a steady breeze.

We fished the Main Branch of the Hoosic by the Central Radio stilling basin (trying from both below the roll dam and from along the lip at its top), but did not have any hits.

Then we tried Southview Pond, where we caught a mix of sunfish (smallest = 1 & a 1/2 inches, a new record for me), some bullhead (my son landed the biggest one, about 10 inches long) and a small turtle (about 9 inches long, and the first I've ever caught).
