Title: Landed Three, Lost Two
Post by: bogtrotter on May 07, 2022, 06:34 PM
After foraging for mushrooms with a buddy along the local Bike Trail this morning - - we didn't find any morels, but harvested some "saddles," along with a few ramps - - I fished the South Hoosic in Adams today from 12 PM to 2:30 PM.

It was overcast, breezy and 55 degrees.  Water levels were down from the last few times I've been out.

I started by Mullen Mayflower and fished downstream to the roll dam below Elm Rock.

I lost a small rainbow beneath Burnett/Bednarz Bridge and another by the Old Stone Mill.

I landed a 14" rainbow by Elm Rock on the way downstream, and another one on my way back.

Then I reeled in one last (12") rainbow beneath the roll dam just upstream from Elm Rock before heading home to clean up for a 70th birthday party for a family friend.

It's warming up in that spot it seems.  Breezy here too.
