I got out on the South Hoosic in Adams for a half hour early this evening, after work but before dinner.
It was mostly cloudy but relatively warm (67 degrees), and the stream was just a smidgen higher than I would prefer, but not too bad.
I fished the upper end of my milk run and caught two trout - - a 10" brown across from Mullen Mayflower and a 14" rainbow just above the footbridge.
When I was releasing the rainbow, I noticed there was a second hook with a small length of line hanging from its lip, so I removed that one as well. Evidently, it was the proverbial "one that got away" from the last guy who hooked it.
