A pike a day...
« on: Apr 22, 2022, 07:14 PM »
Or three keeps the dr. Away.  Dr. Skunk that is. My daughter and I got out from 1 to 4 and boated 3 around this size.  They were shallow.  It was really windy.  Back tomorrow early with the 10w.

4 more this morning, 3 before 830 all around the same size.  1 bass, 2 perch.  Not a bad morning.

No they wouldnt touch the fly, but admittedly I was fishing a heavy sink tip in shallow water so I was probably stripping too fast.  All fish were on a lucky craft perch pointer.

Nice healthy looking fish. Some lakes in the northern midwest have nothing but "hammerhandles." Stunted pike.

There's some 40" plus fish in this lake and the previous state record came from there but I tend to nail the 24-32" fish.  My biggest was 16# on a large fallfish.

Nice work Jon!  I like that spot (assuming its where we went).  I wish it was a tad closer as it isn't easy for me to get down to.

It is and we should go a few times this year with the 10w see if you can get a tiger on the fly!

Slips paid, brand new suzuki lower was ordered 2 weeks ago.  They are doing a 100hr service on the powerhead and fixing my trim tabs.  Should be ready to go soon.
