not a fly fishing addict--but i do enjoy dry fly fishing for 11" bluegills with a 6 wt rod -like the way they smack their lips on the surface--no fly sipping here

I don't know if Joan Wulff has that anymore or not.

Seaweed - I looked through some of my files over the weekend and realized that I mis-spoke about who operates that stream report hotline for the Beaverkill and Willowemoc rivers.

The hotline was/is actually run by Mary Dette, daughter of Walt and Winnie Dette.  They are three local (and well known/respected) fly tiers.  Number: 607-498-5350.  24 hr service April 1 - July 1.

Joan Wulff runs a flyfishing school in the area that her husband Lee started.  She is a champion for getting women involved in the sport.  I am not sure how much she is involved these days.
