New Personal Best Kayak Pike

Hey folks. Hope everyones been well, and catching plenty of fish. This BEAST of a Pike gave me an insane fight from my PDL. Caught it 5 minutes before I was planning to leave. Caught on a handmade rod, and lure that I made, which made it even better!! Released to  be caught at a later time!!

Good fish! I know u said u don’t like to estimate weight but over 20 lbs?

I think it’s safe to say it was over 20. I did a rough length measurement from points in the kayak, and on the net. And both came on around 43”. If I had to guess, I’d say 22ish. The girth of this Pike was the biggest I’ve ever caught/seen. I couldn’t lift it one handed into the kayak!! Either way, I was pumped!

I know u got a big one thru the ice a couple years back. That fish looked way bigger than the one in the video but camera angles are funny in how they make a fish’s size look. Great fish either way.

I know u got a big one thru the ice a couple years back. That fish looked way bigger than the one in the video but camera angles are funny in how they make a fish’s size look. Great fish either way.

That one through the ice was probably a little bigger.

Yes I do. They are the first lure I started making 13 years ago!!!
