Oh heck no, I'd say your chances of catching lakers and salmon are significantly improved by not staying home.

I had good luck fishing lakers and salmon this weekend quite a bit west of Sebago with green and pearl spoons, trolled about 2.1mph at about 40 feet deep. We only kept a few of them but the ones we did were full of smelt, so anything smelt colored or patterned I would say would be a good choice.

havent had much luck with the pearl db smelt this year but ill give them a try thanks

The one i had had two holes drilled in an 1/8' on each side just behind gill plate , and when trolling it along it  would send out a row of bubbles on each side. it was hot.
