Stopped by a local 'gill hole the other day for a quick fix.  Chartreuse mop jig was tied on and promptly caught 6 bass and 7 nice gills.  One of the gills was my first 10"er of the year. (no camera/no pic/didn't happen )  Lost the mop jig and didn't get another bite on any others I had with me.  Was it timing and the bite just shut down or was the mop jig that good?  Gonna require more study......

Thanks!  Gonna give them a workout for sure.  I had tied one up to try off the pier in Canandaigua with my buddies last week.  Miserable conditions but it caught the only two fish all morning between the three us.  Tied up a few more today on a couple of different jigs I pour.  Won't be able to get out again till next week though.    Fishing begins in earnest then.
