Nice fish..I been out a few times .always getting out fished by the little guy..work has me quit busy ..he out fished me and bigal last week...I think bigal and I were using spinning gear ..little guy fly rod..he whooped us..

I second that. Give little guy a fly rod and watch out.

Dan....I'm trying the Little Atom Nuggies this year.  Nice long thin tail.  Got the glo pearl & glo purple.

Where did you get the glo purple I have the pearl that works good ..i have regular purple ..

I ordered them from FishUSA.  However, although they are labeled "glo purp" they are in fact plain glo.  I am dealing with FishUSA right now about replacements.  You can also order from ..com

Ive never had any luck catching perch with plastic under a float. Big fan of brown/orange crappie max on a glow tear drop

I never heard of glo purple that's why I was asking  looks like I have to contend with bigal over here to.... ...your the dink catcher.bigal you couldn't catch a snowflake in a blizzard .speaking of which al did you figure out a counter weight for your boat so when your out there you can see over the bow..

Was thinking about tying up some flies and using them under.a slip bobber anyone ever try this

I've done that alot it works good I use a bead head fly to get it down a little bit...it's tricky because if they hit it on the drop u won't know it I like use a small weighted bobber

I also do that for gills and perch...ice fishing as well

Might even try tying the fly above the plastic tipped jig I usually use for crappie.
