Bite was on fire today. Lot of shorts. Bet I threw 25 or 30 back. Finally found some keepers. Was starting to wonder if they existed in this new lake. Tons of 7-8 inchers out of there this year but few keepers. Brought home 19.

Glad u had a good day..  we fished two different bodies of water and put 200+ miles on the chevy and caught one crappie all day. O well sometimes you're the bat and sometimes you're the ball.

Interesting catch of fish last night while fishing for bullhead.  Caught 2 Bowfins, 3 Perch, 1 rock bass, 1 carp and a doz bullhead.  Made for an interesting night.

Stopped by a local 'gill hole the other day for a quick fix.  Chartreuse mop jig was tied on and promptly caught 6 bass and 7 nice gills.  One of the gills was my first 10"er of the year. (no camera/no pic/didn't happen )  Lost the mop jig and didn't get another bite on any others I had with me.  Was it timing and the bite just shut down or was the mop jig that good?  Gonna require more study......
