indeed the are.   my luck with rockies has deteriorated the last ten years.      i used to do well in cayuga and seneca but can no longer find the fish.    perhaps they have gone deeper due to the zebra mussels and water clarity


also used to fish for them in the large bays of ontario.     dam cormorants are taking their share and more     same water clarity tooo

any tips appreciated

VHS did a number on them in the fingerlakes...I think they are struggling to come back due to invasives as well. Cayuga was awesome for Rockies when I was growing up. Very underrated fish

Thanks fellas. Danman I was using tube jigs under a float. If it got slow I tipped them with a crappie nibble.

my bag is filled with tube jigs but in the day time I find myself grabbing hair jigs tipped with spikes then I still take crappies but double up on gills
