The secret was the cheese it crackers ground up and added to the buttermilk pancake mix , little pankos, and peperica....
My bride loves it....

This weather is quite crazy if I must say so...rain is a good thing seeins how cayuga lake and Seneca river are 4 foot low if not lower...its rediculous the last 2 yrs 4_5 foot low in the spring .there killing creek fishing not only for trout but crappie spawn also along with other fish

what methods are you guys using this time of year in lakes for panfish?  I usually go after trout this time of year but want to get on some perch and sunnies.

I like using a drop shot rig with two 1-1/2" Slider grubs a foot apart and a foot above the weight. I also run the same rig with a couple fat heads on it at times.

You can also try shallow weed beds using a jig and bobber. It's about my favorite method this time of year. I love fishing for the big sunnies. Waxworms are my go to bait.
