Yep - and a lot of the smaller Madison county lake associations encourage taking pickerel too - they even have special categories like the longest chain of pickerel (longest limit) in their fishing derby's to encourage people to remove them.  I hate pickerel if you can't tell  hahahaha

out scouting yesterday.   muddy water messed up a lot of inlets and finger lakes shallows.    more rain coming.   will be a week till it clears.    should get the craps and panfish excited.

true story I even called Freddie to tell him ,I'm at toad harbor and tough bite ......the fish mafia were sneaking pickerel out!!!! I know they are out of season and I know they were way over limits ....wouldn't you know it right when I was going to call the DEC my phone went dead ......darn it

You are correct sir. Just has to keep his dad away from the fishing spots. And Big Guy said that he was hanging up his fishing gear for a while because nothing was biting. Guess his family showed him , didn't they?
