More than enough stuff to tie up a batch of harnesses. Ill have to make the sinkers. Didn't see anything small enough. Picked up smoe small worm sinkers. i'll figure something out.

I've been using 6's.  VMC Octopus, spaced at 2".  36" 4lb Vanish for a leader.

I want to try some 8's with Gulp red worms and a smaller blade.

Broke out one of my 5wt fly rod this morning. Gills galore and a few good perch on a PT nymph. Shook of some of the rust anyway.

My first few casts probably looked like a whirling Dervish fighting off a swarm of angry hornets. But, i settled in after a bit.

The spinners interest me.  I located an area where big gills tend to hang out along a ledge around 25’.  A lot of times while drifting small crayfish for smallies there, I get some big gills.  I tried drifting just a half night crawler on a drop shot rig but the hook ratio wasn’t good. The small spinners might just work plus I’ll still get the smallies and occasional perch on it.

That was one of a very few today Dom. High pressure, temperature drop, East wind...the odds were against us. Yesterday however......I crushed them. Lost count.
