I spent a little time looking for crap this morning. Couldn't really fish where I wanted to. Too much junk floating in the Canal.

I've caught a few thousand fishing the docks at Seneca. Never gave cooking one  second thought.

Nice variety, a few good eaters there too.

My kayak is all squared away now. I'll re-rig a couple of rods and plant some flowers tomorrow... probably hitting the water Tuesday!

pond using the kayaks.   

hint: don't try to tow a fish basket behind a kayak.    works like a drift sock. 🙄

Well need to show proof somehow...went to port bay today...really windy tough fishing...5 Rockies and mix of gills, sunnies and few perch...no pictures....have guts in freezer if you want pictures.

got a new bobbin and thread picking up at bass pro drive thru

what size hooks?  long shank?

Played around with the gills this morning. Found them right on shore. The gulp minnow took a few hefty gills. The little ones wouldn't take it.

No boat today. Too danged hot for me. Need to put a new keel roller on the trailer, a volt meter in the boat  ( the new Lowrance doesn't display voltage) and adjust the bow support and winch.

Went back to the same spot this morning with the 2 wt and a few flies to try. Lost count of how many I caught. All big breeders. On the beds I suspect. They Were all released to continue their mission.

I was finally able to get my kayak on the water, it was a good shake down. The only problem was me, I couldn't for the life of me remember how to switch my fish finder from GPS to Sonar? Of course as soon as I got home it all came back! Must have been a case of transient CRS. No fish, I just flung a Chatterbait for Bass. The arms are a little soar, but it sure felt good being out on the water.
