I have substituded gulp crawlers for real crawlers for trout since there are no crawlers in alaska. And they worked really well for me.
I've never been to heaven, but i have fished  in  Alaska.

Maybe its a regional thing,  I use gulp in Colorado and have done well drifting them on the bottom, trolling them and casting them.  I catch trout, walleye and bass on them here.  Exude works well too,  I tend to catch several fish per gulp worm.  It is a problem if you don't seal the bag,  they get tough as leather and are worthless then.  and if you forget to take one off a jig or crawler rig.........just toss it!  I do well with chartreuse and the plain brown color.
Fishing, what else is there to say?
