How about June 1st to July 15th?
Those dates pretty much coincide with good fishing in most regions

Pretty tough to run my camera on a timer in open water  though  as I'm always in a float tube.  I'll have to get pontoons for my tripod

Guess I'll have to drag the buddies out on a regular basis.  Tough to find people who want to fish as often as me though....

I think that would be a good idea.  What species?? Only problem is differnent fish are in at different times in some states

Make it a season long tourney.  Won't have to worry about frozen fish in this tourney

I think the Shanty format would work well in the open water.  It sounds like a job for Iceshanty,  Aspahlt_Kid,  and FatBoy.    A good 4 to 6 month window would be good also,  it would let all the regions good fishing opportunities to be weighed in.  If a more in depth conversation is warrented,  check out the chat room between 8 and 11 pm eastern time.

Lonewolf has been doing all the work for the iceshanty tourney. It's really his baby and was his idea for the online picture tourney. I am going to have to put this on hold for a bit until I get this site fully up and running. If you want to organize a little tourney yourselfs get with Doug for ideas.
